The Bumbo Seat

We got a bumbo seat (thanks Mimi). She is so cute in it, but we soon found out that she can actually get out of it by arching her little back and stretching her legs out. She's going to be a climber!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Horray! Meredith and Logan now have a beautiful little girl named (drum roll).....Julian Calhoun Doty "Callie". Sorry, I don't have a better picture of her. She was in the nursery, and only grandparents were allowed back. I will have a good picture soon. Little Logan is there with his other gradfather "Harry" to meet his sister.

On the Farm

We all went to South Carolina this past weekend to welcome our newest member of the family (Logan and Meredith's 2nd little one). Before the big day, we spent some time on the farm with my dad. Don't worry, she's not learning to drive the four wheeler yet...she'll probably never be allowed on it for real anyway.

Father-Daughter

They both are admiring their good looks in the mirror. Someday, Amelia may spend as much time doing her hair as her dad does.

Rice Cereal

Today, Amelia is 4 months old, and she just happened to have her 4 month check-up with Dr. Morgan. She weighs 13 lbs 12 ozs. and is 24 in. long. We discussed the option of starting solids gradually...I was not going to start until 6 months, but the Dr. explainned that the extra iron is very good for when they are growing at such a fast rate. She explainned that if Amelia was not ready, then she would let us know. Well, we decided to give it a go!...I don't think that she is ready just yet. She didn't hate it, but she didn't love it either. We'll probably hold off just a bit more (there's no need to rush anything).

First "Hike"

We all got outside on Sunday afternoon to hike around a lake at a local summer camp grounds. The weather could not have been more perfect. Sipsey got to swim and had a blast...she deserves it after her world flipping upside down with the baby and all. We will use the baby backpack so much this summer!

My dad went to Guadalajara Mexico a few weeks ago to visit my brother Robert. He brought the grandkids back some T-shirts. Amelia is sporting hers as a night gown...ready for bed!
